On April 16, 2009, the Friends of the
Eden Prairie Art Center will host a special
fundraising event to aid in equipping the
Art Center with art equipment such as kilns,
glass, and art supplies.
Titled, “Putting It All Together,” an
evening of music, food and art, will feature
an auction of luxury lifestyle items,
including original art from area artists.
Guests will also be treated to a special
performance by world renowned singer
Connie Kunkle. Kunkle is perhaps best
remembered by Minnesota audiences as the
Narrator in the mega-hit Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat where she
starred opposite Donny Osmond.
The reigning Mrs. Minnesota America,
Wendi Russo, will also be present to
greet guests.
Guests will also have the opportunity to
purchase individual glass tiles for a large
glass mosaic piece to be displayed in the
new art center. The piece will be designed
especially for the Art Center by the artist
to reflect the spirit of the arts and
inspire both artists and patrons of the Art
Center.
Appetizers and desserts will be served
and a cash bar will be available.
